In this month's Note from Nolen, you'll hear from Nolen Rollins on why you might want to consider taking GPS Life Journey again in 2026!
"Play it again, Sam in 2026. You've heard that old saying, when you want a song to be played again, you say, play it again, Sam. Well, in 2026, I want to encourage you to give serious consideration to going through the GPS Life Journey process once again. Over the 20 plus years of GP S's existence, about 10 to 15% of people repeat GPS and go through it a second time. It will give you clarity. If for some reason you did not get engaged in your mission, it will help you redefine that and develop a strategy to get engaged. Consider going through GPS again in 2026. God bless you. I hope 2026 is your greatest year of serving God in His kingdom according to his purpose for your life." Check out our EVENTS page to discover in person and online via Zoom opportunities to participate in taking GPS Life Journey in 2026.

"Most of you who know me, know I am passionate about the University of Tennessee football. As a matter of fact, I'm passionate about any University of Tennessee Sport. I'm just a Tennessee fan. When you love something, it's special. It really energizes you. And the same thing is true with your purpose and mission in life. What are you passionate about? The GPS Life Journey process helps you identify, these are my God-given passions in service and ministry in the kingdom of God. When you focus and are committed to fulfilling those God-given passions, you'll have a sense of significance. A sense of I'm making a difference in the world. You have heard it said that when you love what you're doing, it's not work at all. Your service and ministry in the kingdom of God should be a joy and a delight because you're fulfilling your God-given passions." Visit our EVENTS page to find out when you can participate in the GPS Life Journey process either in person or online via Zoom. In this month's Note from Nolen, you'll hear from Nolen Rollins, asking the important question: are you too busy doing the wrong things?
"It is possible you may be too busy doing the wrong things. According to Ephesians 2:10, we were each created in Christ Jesus for good works, which he prepared or ordained depending on the translation for us beforehand or even before we were born. If you're busy doing stuff but not busy doing what God created and gifted you to do, you're missing out on your greatest opportunity to bring glory to God. It amazes me that when I talk to people about participating in GPS Life Journey, the most frequent excuse or response that I receive is "I don't have time". You don't have time to do what God created you to do? Think about your priorities. If you don't know what God's purpose is for the next stage of your life, and you're not actively engaged in fulfilling his purpose for your life, you may be too busy doing the wrong things." In this month's note from Nolen, you'll hear about being part of the bride of Christ!
"Believe it or not, I am part of the bride of Christ. I could not pass up the opportunity to shoot this month's video dressed in my wedding best. I'm headed this weekend to do the wedding of a dear friend at the Famous Breakers Hotel in West Palm Beach, Florida, and every wedding where I officiate. I remind people that the marriage relationship is like that relationship that Jesus Christ has with us. The bride of Christ, Christ loved us so much. He gave his life for us, and that's the kind of love we should have for our spouses, for our family. And certainly for the Lord Jesus Christ because of the supreme sacrifice he paid for us. May I encourage you, renew your love for your wife and your family, and renew your love for your Lord Jesus Christ." In this month's Note from Nolen, we have a special prayer request from Nolen Rollins. Here's what he says in the video.
"I have a special prayer request for you, my friends, for this month, April 14 to 21. I will be going again to Aya, Kenya to visit the Agunda Children's Home, which was founded by GPS Life Journey over 15 years ago. This Children's Home has an extremely successful ministry taking care of children all the way through childhood education, college trade school, and into life professions. It'll be my pleasure to go visit with many of these children who have been in this program for a number of years. Please pray for a safe journey, successful ministry. And God's continued blessings on the Agunda Children's Home in Kenya. God bless you." Nigeria is a country in turmoil. Boko Haram, a severe jihadist terror organization, is headquartered and active in North Nigeria. Just south of this region of strong persecution and killings is the State of Jos, Nigeria. GPS Life Journey is impacting thousands of lives of followers of Christ in this northern state of Jos, Nigeria under the leadership of Nigerian GPS Life Journey Director, the Reverend Ken Eze. Bishop Eze and his other volunteers consistently conduct GPS Life Journey classes all over Nigeria. Hundreds of people have gone through GPS under the leadership of GPS Facilitator, Dr. Yemi Alfred. Please pray for Reverend Ken Eze, Dr. Yemi Alfred, and others on the GPS Life Journey Team in Nigeria. Pray for open doors and safety for these faithful warriors for Christ.
In this month's Note from Nolen, you'll learn about his new book called "Boy From Piney".
"I just released a new book entitled "Boy from Piney". This is a collection of short stories about my childhood growing up in rural America in the 1950s and early 1960s. We have established a website, BoyFromPineyMissions.org, which will give you more information about the mission organizations that we will be supporting from the sale of this book. I want to encourage you to pick up a copy of the Boy From Piney book, hopefully enjoy reliving some of the good old days, and make a contribution through your purchase. toward world missions. You can get a copy of the book at the website, boy from BoyFromPineyMissions.org, or you can pick up a copy at First Baptist Church in Lenoir City, Tennessee, or in Loudoun, Tennessee, at the Greer's Home Furnishings. I hope you'll get a copy and enjoy the book. God bless." In this month's Note from Nolen - find out how God has shaped you?! Read on to discover how GPS Life Journey helps you in more ways than you might ever expected.
"Who are you? How did God uniquely design and shape you? I know I sound a little hoarse. I'm recovering from a chest cold. It sounds much worse than it really is. God uniquely designed and shaped you. There is a misconception that the GPS Life Journey study is primarily about your spiritual gifts. Not true. Spiritual gifts is only one of seven assessments that you will participate in to discover how did God uniquely design and shape you for service in his kingdom. He has a purpose for you. We will look at your personality, your passions, your abilities, your life experiences, yes, your spiritual gifts, your strengths, your core values, and seven total different assessments to help you have a very clear understanding. This is who I am, and God made me this way. For a purpose in his kingdom. I hope you have a clear understanding of who you are, how God has shaped you to serve him and bring him glory." |
