In this video you will get to meet the newest member of GPS Life Journey Board of Directors. In his own words, here is what he says: "My name is Greg Pickens, and to borrow a phrase from a close friend, I'm not retired. I'm just unemployed and too busy to look for a real job. GPS Life Journey is helping me focus on fulfilling what God is wanting me to do at this stage in my life. With one grandchild and two more on the way, it's an exciting and rewarding time of life to watch our two sons grow into godly men with their families.
Learning how to listen to God has always been one of my life goals. Unfortunately, I haven't always listened and followed His direction. GPS is helping me use my experiences, strengths, abilities, values, passion, and spiritual gifts to develop a plan of action to fulfill what I believe is His purpose for this time in my life. It hasn't been easy. Having spent most of my professional life in high tech. Writing business plans and developing goals, objectives, and tactics. The last thing I wanted to do was develop another plan that I had to follow. I'm learning that this time it's different for a couple of reasons. First, I'm doing what I enjoy doing. And second, I'm doing it because it's part of my mission, my legacy. And my God given life purpose being asked to join the board of directors for GPS life journey was an honor and a blessing. It is another way that I can help others learn how to increase their significance in life. And they, in turn, can help others fulfill God's purpose and their life by becoming a GPS life journey partner. Ask me how to become a GPS life partner. And get ready for the adventure." GPS Life Journey Was a Game Changer for Me Thank you once again, Dr. Yemi, for the opportunity to participate in the GPS Class. It was really a game changer for me. The GPS Life Journey process opened my eyes to a lot of things. It was like a roadmap on how to live a purpose driven life. It showed me hidden potentials I have. Also, my true personality was brought to the forefront. GPS helped me to know how to relate with people around me, making me a better person for Kingdom service. One of the highlights for me was when I discovered my mission statement and my vision for the future became clear. I have always had challenges knowing what to do in life. So, if you too may be confused on your calling this is the course you should take. I am glad I got to know what I now know even though I wished I knew it much earlier in life. I strongly recommend GPS Life Journey for everyone and especially our younger adults. Thank you Dr. Yemi, you freely poured out yourself for us, gave us free tips on financial management and how to use what God has put in us to create success and make an impact for His kingdom. This graduate participated in one of Dr. Yemi Faith Alfred’s GPS Life Journey Classes in Nigeria. In this month's Note From Nolen, we discover what's been happening in 2023 and hopes for 2024
It seems at the end of every year, we become more reflective. We tend to think about what all has happened during the year and especially the blessings of God in our lives. This certainly has been a very God blessed year for GPS Life Journey. We have seen nearly 200 people participate in 24 different small groups. Here in Lenoir City, Tennessee, where the global office is located, as well as many others all around the world, discovering God's purpose for the next stage of their life and developing a strategy to fulfill that purpose. We're grateful for all of you who have participated and grateful that you will recommend others to participate in the GPS life journey process in the coming year. "I wish for you a very, very merry Christmas. I hope you are blessed by being able to spend time with family and friends, and it'd just be a great holiday season for you. One final request here at the end of my greeting today, I will have rotator cuff surgery in three weeks. So I appreciate your prayers on my behalf." Please pray that it will be a full and speedy recovery from that surgery for Nolen. God bless you and have a wonderful Christmas. |
